It Pays to Check It Out -- Ticket to Work Conference & Expos
This summer, the Social Security Administration is hosting a series of Ticket to Work Conferences and Expos around the country to promote and build awareness about the Ticket to Work program.
Using the theme “It Pays to Check It Out!” these one-day Expos will provide participants – Beneficiaries and caregivers, as well as employers and service providers – with a better understanding of how and why the Ticket to Work Program can be useful for them. The Expos will also introduce beneficiaries to the employment search process and the interview skills and strategies that they may need to achieve their goal of successful employment.
Each Expo is a four-part conference that gives participants a thorough grounding in the Ticket to Work program, how the program relates to disability benefits, the how-to’s of an employment search, and potential meetings and interviews with potential employers.
Ticket to Work is an innovative program from the Social Security Administration that helps individuals with disabilities who are trying to find employment. A free and voluntary program, Ticket to Work connects disability Beneficiaries to various programs – from employment to vocational rehabilitation – so they have the tools, assistance, and guidance they need to find the right job.
